People who are looking for a holiday that is non-stop partying and filled with laughs and excitement tend to book themselves on Ibiza holidays. The island of Ibiza in the Mediterranean Sea has become the undisputed party capital of the world over the last 30 or so years. Millions of hedonists flock there each year to grace the beaches by day and party hard by night in some of the most incredible clubs in the world.
Ibiza is home to so many world famous clubs, you might have trouble getting around them all. Some of the most celebrated are Privilege (which is the world’s largest nightclub), Space (specifically for after parties), Pacha (a trendy franchise club with a worldwide brand of its own), and Es Paradis (famous for its water parties). Add to this a multitude of smaller clubs and hundreds of bars and you can see why Ibiza is the party capital of the world.
When you’re on holiday in Ibiza, be prepared for a somewhat crazy pace of life come nighttime. Daytime on the White Isle is a little more laid back. The preferred activities are sunbathing on the beach or strolling around beautiful Ibiza Town. As you would probably expect, the island really comes alive after sunset, so with this in mind, Ibiza might not be the ideal destination if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
Accommodation in Ibiza ranges from budget self-catering apartments to exclusive 5 star hotels to private villas. However, most of Ibiza’s young holidaymakers tend to opt for cheaper apartments as most of their time is spent out on the time or in Ibiza clubs. Holidaying couples can find some gorgeous hotels and villas a little out of Ibiza Town, ideal for those wanting to stay close enough to the action but far enough away to be able to relax.
If you are going to Ibiza to take advantage of the party scene you need to be aware that every club apart from Pacha closes after September. When the party season starts again, they reopen their doors. So if you have booked yourselves on to one of the Ibiza Holidays that falls outside of June to September you need to be prepared for closed down clubs and very few tourists. You also need to be aware that the weather outside of these months can be quite erratic, so you may find that your suntan lotion goes unused.
So for anyone looking to party away their summer, a holiday in Ibiza might be just the ticket. Remember that prices can be pretty high, so plenty of spending money is a must if you want to get into some of Ibiza’s world famous clubs.
Love it or dread it, Christmas is inevitable. No sooner have the stores taken down their Halloween displays than they’re replacing them with huge icicles, gold stars and beaming Santas. Even those with a real love for Christmas can struggle to keep up with the pace for that long - there’s no escape.
Or maybe there is, if you dare to try something different and break from the normal, society imposed, traditions…
Celebrating Christmas away from home doesn’t mean that you have to lose the festive atmosphere - unless, of course, you want to! The possibilities are endless. All it takes is a bit of imagination and planning - and, if you stay at home, aren’t you doing enough of that anyway?
City breaks are always a popular choice and there are plenty to be had at a reasonable price for those shopping around. Prague, with its rich history and opulent beauty, is a firm favourite and the wonderful Christmas markets are open throughout the festive season, including Christmas Day itself. In Vienna, the Christkindlmarkt in the City Hall Square is famous the world over for its elaborately decorated trees, dozens of wooden huts selling gifts and food and, of course, welcome glasses of hot Gluhwein.
Curiously, although renowned as one of the most romantic and magical places in the world, Venice is comparatively overlooked when it comes to spending Christmas away from home. Gone are the souvenir stalls and sweltering August crowds, as the population seeps to just half of its summer size. Spending Christmas in Venice gives the visitor a chance to enjoy the real city, with its wonderful architecture fully on show and evening concerts in its vast, albeit chilly basilicas.
If it’s that traditional White Christmas you’re dreaming of, then the ski resorts of Switzerland, France and Austria are great places to head for. Sunshine on crisp snow, pine-covered mountains and crackling log fires all make for that perfect Christmas card scene. And, away from the slopes, a glass or two of hot punch always goes down well as the snow softly falls.
But for a Christmas with an even bigger difference, imagine being out in the deep, silent snow at night, lying on a reindeer skin as amazing colours dance and shimmer their way across the sky. Imagine the spectacular Northern Lights. Several destinations offer a great chance to see the Aurora Borealis in all its magnificent glory, including Finland, Norway, Sweden and The Yukon.
We hope we’ve offered something for everyone in our variety of Christmas hotel breaks. So, before you dig out those fairy lights for another year, stop for a moment. Do you really want to spend another Christmas half asleep on the sofa with indigestion?
This Christmas, why not have a festive adventure away from home? Our Christmas hotel breaks guide offers a number of ideas for a wonderful Christmas spent at one of the worlds most festive destinations. Cheap Hotel Chains price compare all latest cheap hotel deals across the world.

I just got back from a fantastic vacation in Australia, and I can’t recommend it enough. I had so much fun! Beautiful sights, charming beaches and the nicest people you can meet… what more can you desire? Here are a few tips for the first-time traveler:
1. Visa: First of all, you must issue a visa. For more information visit this site: visa for Australia.
2. Customs: Fresh food and agricultural products are not allowed in, not to mention pets. I’m not kidding: Australia is a separated island, so our agricultural products and diseases can unbalance the ecologic system. Don’t mess with those customs people (it won’t work, believe me),(they won’t let you anyway), just do as you’re told.
3. Weather: Australians don’t stand on their heads, but everything else is backwards. Like the weather. I arrived in September, and it was spring. You must remember that being located in the southern hemisphere, Australia’s seasons are all different. Don’t forget this while packing for your trip.
4. Traffic: Australian traffic is directed to the left rather than the right side of the road. I’m used to the right side, so driving was a little frightening at first. Take it into account if you plan to drive in Australia. You will get used to it, but you have to be extra careful. Funnily enough, once I returned I had some difficulty keeping to the right…
5. Hitchhiking is illegal!|Hitchhiking is not recommended. I didn’t need to hitchhike (I had a car), but I could see many signs warning hitchhikers and drivers about it. I met a few guys who told me it was the best way to travel, but I preferred to keep safe.
6. Working in Australia: Australia is not very expensive, but not that cheap either If you need some extra cash, consider the option of working while you travel. I tried it in Sydney, and it was even fun. I got some valuable info from this site: work in Australia.
7. Studying in Australia: Some guys I hung out with on my trip were in Australia as students. Not bad, isn’t it? I’m considering doing it myself. If you’re interested, check this out: Studying in Australia.
8. International Students card: Read carefully, you get to learn from my mistakes. Although I am entitled to one, I didn’t issue an international student card. Presenting the card gets you discounts in restaurants, cafes and hotels. Any student in any university can issue an international card.
9. See Tasmania: You hear much talk about Sydney, treks to the Urulu and diving in the Great Barrier Reef. But I enjoyed Tasmania best. The place is a bit less traveled and full of magic. The Bay of Fires was particularly beautiful. You should definitely include it in your visit.
So… what are you waiting for? Start packing!
Traveling, whether is it about going to one of the vacation spots or part of a wedding planning like honeymoon, involves lots of preparations and careful planning. Because of the unpredictable nature of each trip, lots of difficult situations can be overcome more easily if you get a minimum coverage in the form of travel health insurance or additional insurance products. Lots of travelers don’t even know that a travel health insurance is necessary, because they consider that their regular health policy remains valid even if they are out of town. Don’t make the mistake of learning the difference the hard way by paying lots of money on medical services. Travel insurance does not refer to health issues alone, because it also covers trip cancellation or loss of property too.
There are even travel health insurance plans that cover the costs of airlift if you require special transportation on the way back. Emergency services, hospitalization and all sorts of other unexpected problems that involve medical care will get coverage too. It is important to be familiar with all the aspects of the trip before you sign any travel health insurance policy. There are countries that require special immunization as a prevention service for travelers or tourists. This is usually the case with long-distance travels to exotic countries where there are viruses and diseases your body may be highly exposed to.
The health risks during transportation should also be taken into consideration. Pregnant women, children, senior citizens and lots of other categories of insured consumers need to be careful with the kind of travel health insurance they choose. There are definitely limitations to the coverage and the benefits, which is why you need to discuss things in detail with the insurer. Pregnant women in the last stage of pregnancy may be prevented to fly for instance, and this condition is normally stipulated in the policy, and there are other similar terms you may come across.
Travel health insurance is complemented by other travel insurance options. Many people choose to contract a single travel insurance package to cover both health and property theft or loss. It all depends on how much risk you are willing to take and how much you want to assess. The multi trip insurance, the backpacker travel insurance, the cancellation insurance represent just a few more examples of what could come to the aid of a regular travel health insurance. Depending on the risk amount you are willing to take, such forms of insurance are optional.
Most of us definitely would agree that the most annoying thing that could happen to us in any airport is to be told that our hand-carry luggage must be check in because it didn’t meet the regulations of the airline.
Sometimes too, we are told that some of the stuff we have in our hand-carry luggage are not allowed onboard the plane, either we have to get rid of them, or (again *sigh*), have our luggage checked in.
Before we got angry and get irritated by these kinds of inconveniences, it is wise to check with our specific airline regarding their hand-carry luggage policy, including items that are allowed inside the plane.
Hand-carry Luggage Guides
related article: Carry On Luggage Dimensions
Different for each airline, there are some guidelines that we need to follow in order for our hand-carry luggage to be allowed aboard the plane. On most airlines, the usual size of hand-carry luggage allowed is approximately twenty-two by fourteen by nine inches. Anything exceeding this should already be checked in.
It’s not surprising that some luggage stores may insist that the sizes of their carry-on bags are the exact dimensions that airlines have specified. While this may be true, it is a good idea to measure the bags ourself, just to make sure that we are buying a correct-sized carry-on bag, instead being told later that they are too big for carrying on the airplane.
The other thing that we have to consider is the shape of our carry-on luggage. Unfortunately, even if we have the appropriate total size of the allowable carry-on luggage which is 45 inches, if it’s shaped is too irregular, it may still need to be checked in the compartment of the plane.
Finally, we have to check with our airlines on the items that are allowed to be carried on the plane; and the items that we can still carry onboard without being added as part of our hand-carry luggage. These items include jackets, child seats, and umbrellas, among other things.
Packing Our Carry-On Luggage
So okay, we got the right airline carry-on luggage size down to a T; we have checked that it is just the right shape to fit into the compartment inside the plane; and we have also checked all the items that we are allowed to pack inside our hand-carry bag.
The next thing that we need to trick is how to pack the back in such a way that we will not exceed the allowable weight of carry-on bags as directed by our airline. And again, this may be different for each airline, and also different on domestic and international routes.
We have to remember that when we are packing, we can’t just stuff inside the bag whatever we want, haphazardly. Being organized with our packing will not only ensure that all items will still be in good condition once we land; it will likewise eliminate the possibility of it being checked in for exceeding the allowable weight.
Finally, we should take care not to put anything in the outer pockets of the bag as this will cause the bag to be bulky; hence, it might not easily slip through the checking counter for hand-carry bags.
