I am not a typical run of the mill cheerleader. I actually am very brainy and do not fit the stereotype that most people have of cheerleaders. Yes, I am a cheerleader, but there is so much more to who I am. Today, I am working on my college dissertation and I was able to come to college because of cheerleading.

It was the one extracurricular activity that I did in college and the scholarships allowed me to get a degree. I did very well in both my cheerleading and in my studies. I got as high of grades as anyone else in my classes, but I had to if I wanted to keep the scholarships. That is what got me to today and my research proposal.

I think that the thesis I am working on is very good and I am proud that I have come so far. Especially when I was never given a chance because I was just a “dumb” cheerleader.
