I find the winters to be extremely long and I am ecstatic at the first sign of spring.  In fact, every year, when I see the first robin back in my yard, I throw a party. My friends and family all think that I am crazy, but I know they love me for it. It is not that I hate winter, but it is always a little bit cold, dark and depressing.

My favorite month of the year is probably May, when I get to dig out the garden supplies and plant my seeds in the ground. I absolutely love flowers and I have a yard full of them. I do not like it when it is super hot either, so I guess that is why I would pick spring as being my favorite season. There is just so much beauty and hope in the springtime.

Everything is once again fresh and new and the world just seems so clean. We get the most wonderful smell of fresh rain and to top it off, it is also the season of baby animals. Now that winter is finally over, I am so happy to spend as much time outside as I possibly can. I have even been eating my lunch outside, while taking a walk in the beautiful spring sunshine.
