My friend Angela was over the other night so that we could work on our essays together. We happened to be in the same high school English class and other than that we seemed to have nothing in common. I don’t know if that is why we became friends, but we are a very odd pair.

I think it is actually term papers that brought us together, but other than academics, we could not be more different. She comes from a Christian family and we are atheists, her favorite food is steak and I am a vegan, and she is shy and I am the life of the party.

I am glad that we had about the same coursework and got to know each other through it because, although she is so different than me, I love her to death and I don’t know what I would do without her. She is probably the best friend I ever had, even if she does eat animals!
