My husband and I are at the point where we are ready to buy our first home.  I don’t actually know for at that point but we’ll soon be evicted from our home as the area in which we live has been bought out by a developer and all of the residential is going to be turned into commercial and industrial buildings.

The housing market in the city that we live in has hit a boom in the last few years and the price of housing has skyrocketed.  Our biggest fear is that we will not be able to afford a house here and that we will have to leave the city that we love to find affordable housing elsewhere.

We still have our hopes up that we will be able to buy some repossessed property at a fraction of the price that most of the properties are going for these days.  I know our kids would be really disappointed if we had to move away and they would have to leave their friends.
