Most of our local country radio stations recently ran a promotion with presale passwords in order to get tickets before the general public could buy them. If you signed up to be a radio club member on one station, you got all sorts of information on events before the rest of the community knew about them.

This worked out great for those who signed up because they could buy tickets to concerts put on locally by very big name country music artists before they were sold out. Some of these concerts are extremely hard to get tickets to and I’ve heard of ticket scalpers getting nearly 3 times the ticket price! Of course scalping is illegal, but it still happens according to my sources.

So, no matter what kind of music fan you are, it would be worth checking into your local radio stations to see if they offer any similar clubs in order to get information and discounts on events before they release to the general public.
