Once you have your journal, just start writing. To get the most out of your journal, you have to write on a regular basis, preferably everyday. If you cant find the time everyday, make a schedule of when you can write such as every other day, every Monday and Thursday, or every weekend. The more frequent it is, the easier it will be to make it a habit.
If you can, I really recommend that you write everyday. You don’t have to write a lot or for a very long time, just write. Even if it’s just 10 minutes each and every day, it will make all the difference and get you in the habit. Set up a time each day that you will write such as in the morning or evening so that you stick with it.
If you aren’t sure what to write about, just write about anything. Write about what has been going on in your life, what you feel about it, different people you know, or you could just go out on a tangent about anything. There is no write way to keep a journal as long as you do it and be creative.
