We find it so easy to get into a relationship. But it can be so hard to end it when you are no longer happy, and fixing a broken heart can be even harder.
It seems that everywhere you look, many long-standing relationships and /or marriages are dissolving. In this week’s article we thought we’d give some suggestions to help those of you who are still going through the healing process.
Take these steps how to survive a broken heart, if your relationship just came to an end:
1) You did not fail:
You should never look at your relationship as a failure, even though it has ended. Do not look at failed relationship as the end of your chance to be happy, but as an opportunity to find someone better suited to you. It is often those failures in the past that make you a better, more successful person in the future. So fix broken heart by embracing them.
2) Turn from the past and look toward the future…YOUR future:
Your future is never determined by what happened in the past, so get over it and move on. In fixing a broken heart, take your mind off the breakup by writing down what you look forward to in the future.
3) Know and understand that there are no “accidents” and that everything happens in divine order:
Every thought, every moment, every action, every relationship and every event that happens in your life, happens to propel you toward your next phase of learning how to survive a broken heart and experiencing personal growth.
4) Acknowledge, without blame, your part in the breakup of the relationship:
By admitting that both you and your ex were equally responsible for the relationship going south, you will soon know how to move on from a broken heart. It does not really matter who ended things - what does matter is that you realize there were problems in the relationship.
5) Learn from what happened:
To grow and move forward in life, you need to learn from your mistakes and experiences. So, with every relationship you go through, be aware of what goes on and you will not keep making the same mistakes.
6) Be thankful for what it taught you:
This may sound strange, but you should be grateful for being put through this experience. See your ex as your mentor who helped you grow to be a stronger person, and you will soon fix broken heart.
After a painful relationship ends, fixing a broken heart should be your main concern. So just follow the above steps, and you may find it easier to move on to better things.
