Well made black comedy, based on the stage production by Wendy MacLeod. Cast includes Parker Posey, Josh Harnilton, Tori Spelling, Freddie Prinze, Jr., Genevieve Bujold, and Rachael Leigh Cook. Curdled: Curdled is a black comedy in regards to youthful female addicted to the how’s and why’s of vicious crimes, who gets a job scrubbing up after them on the Post-Forensic Tidying Service. Cast includes William Baldwin, Angela Jones, Bruce Ramsay, Lois Chiles, Barry Corbin, Mel Gorham, Tulip Fuentes, Kelly Preston, and Carmen Lopez. Grisly (94 minutes, 1996)

The Painted Veil: In 1925 London, a socially backward bacteriologist hastily solicits an appealing lady to wed him, and she concurs. While he sees that she’s been cheating, he forces her to go along with him to a remote outpost in China where there’s been an eruption of cholera. Albeit meant as punishment, this experience steadily changes and deepens their relation. Cast includes Naomi Watts, Edward Norton, Liev Schreiber, and Toby Jones. (125 minutes, 2006)

Kimberley Jim: Little musical of 2 carefree gamblers who win a fortune in a fixed poker game, and then have a change of heart. Cast includes Jim Reeves, Madeleine Guide, Clive Pamell, Arthur Swemmer, and Mike Holt. (82 minutes, 1965)

The King and I: Phenomenal film adaptation of Rodgers and Harnmerstein Broadway musical, based on novel filmed in 1946 as Anna and the Baron of Siam (and redid as Anna and the Emperor). Kerr plays widowed English schoolteacher who voyages to Siam to instruct the Baron’s numerous kids, and finds handling His Highness her best test. Brynner gives the acting job of a generation, and was rewarded with an Oscar reconstructing his Broadway role. Kerr is charming and her harmonizing voice was dubbed by Marni Nixon. Melodies contain “Hello, Youthful Lovers,” “Getting to Know You,” “Shall We Dance.” Cast includes Deborah Kerr, Yul Brynner, Rita Moreno, Martin Benson, Terry Saunders, Rex Thompson, and Alan Mowbray. (133 minutes, 1956)

Macaroni: An uptight American businessman goes to Naples and finds some incomplete personal business left over from his last visit while he was an amorous cadet in the Second World War. 2 of the planet’s most charming entertainers try to keep this film together, and nearly triumph. Cast includes Jack Lemmon, Marcello Mastroianni, Daria Nicolodi, Isa Danieli, and Maria Luisa Saniella. (104 minutes, 1985)

Agency: Eccentric mind bender, loaded with plot deceptions, in regards to imaginative boy (Keyworth) whose dad is a cop and whose mom is blind. The father is chasing a man on a murderous bender in which the people dying are all sightless ladies.
