People who are looking for a holiday that is non-stop partying and filled with laughs and excitement tend to book themselves on Ibiza holidays. The island of Ibiza in the Mediterranean Sea has become the undisputed party capital of the world over the last 30 or so years. Millions of hedonists flock there each year to grace the beaches by day and party hard by night in some of the most incredible clubs in the world.
Ibiza is home to so many world famous clubs, you might have trouble getting around them all. Some of the most celebrated are Privilege (which is the world’s largest nightclub), Space (specifically for after parties), Pacha (a trendy franchise club with a worldwide brand of its own), and Es Paradis (famous for its water parties). Add to this a multitude of smaller clubs and hundreds of bars and you can see why Ibiza is the party capital of the world.
When you’re on holiday in Ibiza, be prepared for a somewhat crazy pace of life come nighttime. Daytime on the White Isle is a little more laid back. The preferred activities are sunbathing on the beach or strolling around beautiful Ibiza Town. As you would probably expect, the island really comes alive after sunset, so with this in mind, Ibiza might not be the ideal destination if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
Accommodation in Ibiza ranges from budget self-catering apartments to exclusive 5 star hotels to private villas. However, most of Ibiza’s young holidaymakers tend to opt for cheaper apartments as most of their time is spent out on the time or in Ibiza clubs. Holidaying couples can find some gorgeous hotels and villas a little out of Ibiza Town, ideal for those wanting to stay close enough to the action but far enough away to be able to relax.
If you are going to Ibiza to take advantage of the party scene you need to be aware that every club apart from Pacha closes after September. When the party season starts again, they reopen their doors. So if you have booked yourselves on to one of the Ibiza Holidays that falls outside of June to September you need to be prepared for closed down clubs and very few tourists. You also need to be aware that the weather outside of these months can be quite erratic, so you may find that your suntan lotion goes unused.
So for anyone looking to party away their summer, a holiday in Ibiza might be just the ticket. Remember that prices can be pretty high, so plenty of spending money is a must if you want to get into some of Ibiza’s world famous clubs.
