You CAN Make Residual Income From Home, If You’re Smart

Making money from home by residual income isn’t always easy; if it was a breeze then everyone would be doing it. If you are willing to see working from home as real work and also willing to develop your online presence, you can be one of the many who are able to make a sizable income from home. Just make sure that as you wade in these waters you avoid those who would prey on your optimism with lies and false promises.

Residual income is basically earning income residually, that is, earning a little more money over time after the initial work or sale is finished. If you make a sale for an affiliate by posting a link or sending an email, for instance, if you were earning commissions off of a residual income setup you would earn commissions off of future sales from the same customer. You don’t personally push for the second (or third, or fourth) sale, but you still earn some commission off of it.

The common residual income opportunities act as I described, you refer a site and continue to make commissions off of any repeat sales by the same customer. So basically, you want to find a fairly reputable, high-quality affiliate so when a customer makes that initial sale, they will want to return when it’s time for birthday and Christmas presents.

You can usually find affiliate websites offering residual commission schemes pretty easily. A simple search will return you will all sorts of links and lists of other links to websites that are willing to offer you a residual income. Subscription sales might be the best bet for you since customers are all that much more likely to make future sales if they are signed up for regular payments. Gambling, adult content, and dating websites often offer this sort of program–if you are willing to recommend their services then this might be the route for you. Plain-’ol online stores often offer residual income opportunities for more traditional sales, if this seems to be more aligned with your plans.

Make sure that you look at the fine print and research the company before you sign up for a program. Look for what other people have said about participating in their program, and make sure you are happy with their terms and payout. Be wary of companies that offer the world for in exchange for little results on your part–all legitimate companies are looking for a win-win situation (or at least one in which they win).

Another method of making residual income besides through recommending affiliate sites is through writing online content. Many Q&A sites will offer you a commission for articles you write for them, either through their advertising or sometimes by how often your article is read. You can even market your own content like through an eBook, but in these cases you are doing traditional marketing, often, and not the residual kind.

No matter how you approach this issue, you are usually benefited by having a good website with reliable traffic. If you can accomplish this, then you will obviously have better opportunities to make income through recommendations and the like. If you have to start from scratch, then it’s a good idea to spend time on an idea for a quality site and research Internet marketing techniques.

If you want to make money from home, residual income schemes may for you if you’re smart about your research and dedicated to success. Just don’t forget that it WILL most likely be work that feels almost like a regular job.

Red Rabbit Craft Show Held in Arcadia

Posted By Bob Jones on @ 4:34 am
by Rick Amorey

A collective effort by a talented group of friends started Red Rabbit. They were mostly artists and artisans, and they would meet up a lot for lunch and discuss all things that were related to crafts. So it’s no surprise that they came up with the idea of hosting their own craft show eventually.

We’ve settled on holding the next installment of this event on July 19th; due to the success of the first show held at the Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge during the last December. On July 19th, the event will be held at the impressive 127-acre Los Angeles Arboretum in Arcadia.

There will be around fifty Southern California artists and craftspersons that will be attending the Arts and Crafts Market. Featured in the event will be various works in glass, ceramics, fiber arts, jewelry, and other items that fail me at the moment. Emphasis is going to be made for handmade pieces; fine arts and crafts as well as indie work will be showcased.

What we’re going for here is a good mix of items. The reason for this is that we’ll continue to accept other applications until we complete every category we have. We are also planning to have craft workshops for kids, asides from that. We don’t want our kids bored, do we?

The show itself will be from 9:30am to 3:30pm, and setting up of the booths will begin at around 8:30am. The gathering will be held indoors in a hall that is surrounded by a beautiful garden. The fees are quite affordable, and there will be an additional fee of 15% of sales as per the requirement of the Arboretum. There will be an eight foot long, two and a half foot wide table with chairs that will be provided by the organizers.

CIO how marketing should plan and prepare for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and measurement – Part 4

Posted By Dean Gill on @ 4:16 am
by Dean Gill

Sales & Marketings Unique Challenge The Sales and Marketing function faces a unique compliance obstacle. More than any other function it relies on guesswork for its most critical financial instruments. Sales forecasts generate guesses about what a given market demand should be. Sales plans generate guesses about how the company should capture that demand. Opportunity assessments generate guesses about a company or products addressable market. Critically, many other business functions depend on sales and marketings guesses:

” Finance projects cost and profit levels and capital needs based on a given sales forecast, and usually publishes its expectations to Wall Street.

” For a manufacturer, operations plans what to produce, and thus what raw materials to procure based on a given sales plan or forecast. Service organizations allocate human capital and adjust fulfillment plans. A real-world example demonstrates the potential impact of getting it wrong: a major airline over-forecast nearly 60,000 seats crossing the Atlantic four summers ago, and had to swallow enormous costs from the capacity it built to accommodate these phantom flyers. It had already paid access fees to airports, allocated planes, entered longer term fuel contracts, etc. When summer came, planes with as few as 15 passengers would make the crossing. The ticket charges couldnt even pay for the direct costs of making the flight!

Unfortunately, sales projections are often based on the plan of what executives want to sell, not on an analytic assessment of the actual market demand at the time of the forecast. The Next most common method is to premise the forecast on some loose version of historical analysis: this is what we sold last year; this year, well beat it by 2%. Will Sarbanes-Oxley digest such back-of-the-envelope or simplistic analyses? Do you want to take the risk to find out? Taking a chance is probably not a good idea. In practical terms, compliance will require transparent, accurate and effective processes for generating forecasts.

In fact, any financial report that will eventually be used or relied upon by the CFO or any other part of the business should be drafted with awareness that someday, along with hundreds of thousands of other documents, it may end up as part of a response to a subpoena. Ordinarily, future statements are not actionable, (weve all seen the disclaimer at the bottom of nearly every press release) but that is not the point. Its not that the reports and forecasts of sales & marketing contain prognostication; its about whether those reports and forecasts were developed through sound analytic and business practices ” i.e. under an umbrella of internal control. While the prognostications themselves may be beyond legal recourse, the processes behind them probably are not. (Continued in Part 5)

For example, if you want to be a French teacher, it is not sufficient that you only can speak the language. Your reading and writing ability are also equally important. In addition, it will be expected of you to possess fine communication skills that will contribute to your interaction with students.

Most of the time, even if the people are well-informed in their relevant spheres, they are frequently tongue-tied when it comes to imparting their knowledge lucidly to others. This is a very grave issue from the standpoint of a teacher who is tasked with the lecturing and instructing a classroom filled with students. Educators facing this problem must make it a point to enroll in career education training centers or engage in career education training courses or workshops to improve on this.

When you want to make sure that you are going to be able to take care of your home and property, you’ll discover that power tools are an important thing to keep in mind. The truth o the matter is that power tools, especially brand new ones, can be extremely expensive, and if you don’t have the money set aside, this can be a problem. Take some time and consider what you need to do to get a full set that is completely usable.

When you are looking to reduce the expense of power tools and air tools, you’ll find that you need to choose between buying cheaper tools and buying used tools. Used tools can save you an impressive amount of cash, but unless you know what you are looking for, you might end up buying a set that is less effective. Unless you are very lucky and end up getting a set of used power tools in good condition, you will eventually have to deal with them breaking on you, and this can happen a lot sooner rather than later. Be careful when you purchase used power tools because there may be safety issues that are not immediately obvious to you as well.

Getting cheaper brands of power tools may seem like a safe choice simply because they are new and fully functional, but again the quality may not meet your expectations. When it comes to power tools and air tools, you get exactly what you pay for.

With those two options crossed out, it may seem impossible to get quality tools for a cheaper price. But if you happen to find dealers that are selling reconditioned tools, give them a second look because it could be your golden opportunity to save money and complete your tools collection. They may be more expensive than used tools, but they are nowhere near the prices of the originals.

If you are going to be purchasing reconditioned tools, remember that there are still a few things that you should look for. Simply by asking the dealer certain questions, you will have a better idea of the tools that you are buying.

Exceptional Quality and Long Life Span

What Kind of Warranty?

When you are dealing with a vendor for refurbished tools, you will find that a good warranty can help ease your mind. Going to the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Exhibition

Posted By Rick Amorey on @ 4:29 am
by Rick Amorey

Anyone who plans to visit the Ohio State Fair would want to make a break from the tired olf carnival rides for something really special; the Fine Arts Exhibition. There will be around 300 pieces in virtually every medium, so the exhibit will be held in the Cox Fine Arts Center and it will have something for everyone in attendance.

The roster of jurors starts of all the amazing things. In the professional division, works have been carefully chosen by renowned artists Tim Portluck and Michael Ferris Jr, from Philadelphia and New York, respectively. In the amateur division, works have been selected by ceramist, author and editor Anderson Turner from Kent State University.

Every one of the three judges strive to include pieces with a clear division, with the result being a nice mix of the straightforward traditional works with the more modern and conceptual ones. You’ll see that paintings and photography will dominate the event this year, but there will also be sculptures and other crafts, too. It is an exhibit with a lot of surprises at every turn.

Even though I’m not a judge myself, to me, one of the best would have to be Josh Foy’s ceramic sculpture trio. Imagine this: Three large, cylindrical columns that resemble scientific core samples that examine what could be said are fossilized human life. He had used machines parts, trash, and stray bricks that were made to look like rock layers on the cylinder. It’s like an advanced civilization unearthed a piece of our past and present.

A truly remarkable place for breathtaking crafts, the Ohio State Fair surely cannot be missed. Watch out for it sometime in autumn; maybe you’ll have a chance to join in on the amateur division if you think you have what it takes.

Home Beekeeping – What To Expect Every Season Of The Beekeepers Year.

Posted By Heather Hallman on @ 4:18 am
by Tony Schwartz

Home beekeeping is a very interesting and rewarding hobby. The bees themselves are fascinating to watch and the honey harvest is always sweet.

To be successful as a beekeeper, you must understand the seasons of beekeeping. Bees, like most animals, follow a regular pattern that is pegged to the changing seasons. In this article we’ll go over the four seasons of beekeeping.

Springtime

During spring it is time for you to inspect the hive. You are looking to be sure that there is a queen present and that she is laying eggs. You also want to be sure that the bees are disease free and have enough food left to last them until they can start gathering pollen to make honey. During this time of year you will also add a super to the hive if the bees need room and dose the hive with preventative medicine.

Summer

At this time of year you will be adding extra frames (also called a super) to your hive to hold the honey that your bees will be producing. You will also be harvesting honey during this season. The rule of thumb for harvesting honey is that it is good to do when all the frames in a super are filled with honey and one-half of the cells are capped with wax.

Fall

Get your bees ready to overwinter. During the fall months you need to feed your bees sugar water to ensure that they live through the winter. You also will be inspecting your hive to make sure the queen is healthy and that there is no disease. In cold climates you will want to wrap the hive for the winter.

Winter

Bees are really very self sufficient. They survive winter very well provided they have enough food. At this time of year your job is to be getting ready for spring and to order any supplies that you will need.
